Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character in ABC's Lost series as well as Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Originating from Worthington Ohio, she quit high school in order to relocate in Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. It was a struggle to survive and was offered her first role in acting in the film Rachel's Room's main character. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford was the main actress on Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004, she was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace, who had worked together with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, was looking to go into film. Grace has been on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 and Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) Replays of these role. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a teenager with small roles in several of the films of her father and starred alongside her brother in the popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) and the love story Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. Following several commercially-successful films, like World Trade Center in 2006 her name was recognized more widely in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). Nominated in the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Rachel Dawes in Crazy Heart, (2009). Then she appeared in dramas and comedies such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 The other roles she's played include Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller), musicians in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018), and her role as the Kindergarten Teacher. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a writer and director in 2021, with the psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
