Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. Ana began learning to sing and play music from an early age, along with her mother. She was given more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. Her early professional career saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in traditional Latin American music at private performances. She is passionate about singing, music as well as the arts keeps active in community projects both as an artist and educator. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
